Kon Ichikawa
Some time ago, I was amazed that a number of TT'ers knew a lot of the films of Kurosawa. Is anybody familiar with the work of Kon Ichikawa? I don't know his stuff very well, but his movie "The Burmese Harp" which is now being called "The Harp of Burma" is one of the most extraordinary things I have ever seen.

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is doing a series of his films. Does anybody have any recommendations???

Lyra: Ichikawa has done a huge variety of stuff... a good video rental place will have some of his classics like "Burmese Harp."

A lot of his films were way ahead of their time in terms of perspective and subject matter.

So there I was . . .sitting between two white lines on the road trying to figure out what the man on the yellow sign was doing, generally minding my own business rubbing my legs together when . . .BAM!!!!!
