“Ah, the photos bring back memories.

While living in Germany in the late 80s, I remember hiking in the Stockhorn area just outside Gwatt-Thun (near the Thun sea). The Swiss Alps from our climb were like nothing ever seen before. Peak after peak after peak, you could see for miles. There's a mystique there.

Having looked at your photos of the Eiger, the first thing that came to mind were all those people who died on that mountain. It's supposed to be a tough climb.”
