Hmmm, I thought I posted here last night.....” 10:59:23 AM 8/10/01 RE: Llama Rama 2001 Photo Album “Creekjumper! Great to see your post. We talked about your creekjumping and fishhook degouging prowess on the first Llama Rama trip. SN - I was so stoked to catch those nice goldens at Guitar Lake after striking out in my previous fishing attempts. I felt redeemed. They did turn out yummy. I haven't heard anything from the 10 day group yet. I thought they would be out by now...I guess I wasn't really sure about their schedule. A week to explore Miter Basin/Cottonwood Lakes should be awesome fun. Sushi on the trail was a good idea that probably went bust. We left all the sushi stuff with the llama group except the bamboo sushi roller. Oh, well...there is always next year. I-am-OM was going to visit the big trees on the Western Sierra side. Hope to hear from her soon also.” 1:40:36 PM 8/10/01 RE: Llama Rama 2001 Photo Album “Great pictures, almost like being there!” 3:15:41 PM 8/10/01 RE: Llama Rama 2001 Photo Album “Great photo's and report phil.” 5:05:43 PM 8/10/01 RE: Llama Rama 2001 Photo Album “10 day group is back. Miter Basin is totally total. There are some REALLY HUGE fish in Sky Blue Lake, but they were not biting. They were simply cruising the surface like submarines, and letting me get a tantalizing glimpse of what could be. However...... The next time I go up there it will be with a sky hook. An ugly climb for us lazier people. Fishing at Cottonwood Lakes was divine. Goldens up to 12 inches, in full courting regalia. Turk caught eight the first day, Obi caught one, and I caught two. The second day, at OUR spot, I caught seven, and Turk caught two. Turk and I found this wonderful inlet surrounded by marsh grass where the trout were spawning. There was only solid ground enough for two people to stand on. Turk on one side of the inlet, and I on the other. We were catching trout as fast as we could throw in a line. But...... Three guys saw us. They wanted our spot. It started to rain. Turk and I wrapped ourselves up in a plastic garbage bag, and a space blanket, and sat guard until the rain quit. We were not going to give up OUR fishing hole! Near dark, we quit, and walked back up to camp to have our second fish fry in two days. Yummy, inDEED!” 12:38:59 AM 8/11/01 RE: Llama Rama 2001 Photo Album “Great report and pictures! Looked like alot of fun. For Miss Mozark, how's about Willow for a handle.” 12:50:52 AM 8/11/01 RE: Llama Rama 2001 Photo Album “Hooray for fish frys!” 12:56:23 AM 8/11/01 RE: Llama Rama 2001 Photo Album “Better than Travel Channel! Great report Phil.” 1:05:18 AM 8/11/01 RE: Llama Rama 2001 Photo Album “Gorgeous pics Phil! It's so great that tter's take the time to post them, gives those of us who rarely get out of our state a glimpse of what's out there! Thank you!!!” 8:24:21 AM 8/11/01
