Gojo's BIG News!

“I was once married. That was a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

I returned home from Florida last week to a message from my ex wife - whom I haven't been in contact with for 16 years. I returned the call, and we made some arrangements.

At 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2001, I met my 17 year-old daughter.

She is beyond beautiful. I'm delirious. I have accomplished almost zero during this week of preplanning.

We spent 12 hours together on Sunday. Belle and I are gonna drive back up this Sunday - early! The four of us are gonna drive up into the mountains for some sight seeing, picniking(sp?), and perhaps a dayhike.

Jamie is ecstatic. She's going to help me convert my junk room into a frilly bedroom. I'm gonna visit her often (she's only an hour away), and she me.

I have a daughter, and she has a daddy. She looks like me, acts like me, walks like me, laughs like me. She's me.

This changes everything.

I can tell that you are proud and you have every right to be! Having a daughter of my own I know that there are not many things more precious to a father, than his daughter. I think it's great that you are going to be able to spend time together.

“All too often, a mother gets sole custody and refuses to let the father see the child. But that's none of our business. We should be happy for gojo and his daughter and let him have a little privacy.”

“Steve, Women don't get sole custody unless the father has some real problems. Only in extreme cases do the courts provide anonimity for the child. So what is the story gojo? Have you got some issues? Have you supported your child?

We have folks here who believe in the tooth fairy.”

Tomorrow morning I pick my girl up at gymnastics camp and then we have a week of vacation together. It's never enough time, but it's what I've got so I'll try to make the most of it.

Criticize all you want when you have the facts, but when you don't, as in this case, impuning by insinuation and conjecture puts you in a pretty pathetic posture. “wow! what a tread. I'm perplexed. Althogh I've never met or spoken with gojo, I've heard alot abot the guy, and he seems like a decent considerate person based on his threads and hyper & joy's comments. At the same time, i have to agree with bp somewhat, in that where was gojo all these years for his daughter. Based on this thread, it seems very uncharacteristic of gojo to post something of this nature, unless he was extremely excited about it. He does'nt seem like the type that would air dirty laundry on a whim like newgirl (I still miss her ((as much as you SteveHiker)). But this isn't the same. Something else beyong gojo's control has happened, and it's like he's found a new treasure, and wanted to shre it with everyone, including us slobs on TT.

I am happy for both you and your daughter gojo, but at the same time, I can understand the critiscism from bacpac, and if you post somethin like that in here, you might want to answwer those tough questions, or suffer Gary Condit's fate.
