We got a new dog. He is only 9 weeks old but came with car camping experience (one week at Lake Moomaw). We are hoping to make him a trail dog. How soon should we start putting junk on his back so that he doesn't hate it when he is finally big enough to go with us? Right now he only weighs 9 pounds. We'll ask his doctor on Friday but wondered if you had any advice. Were you little when you got your pacpac? Ask your dad.”

“P.S. I am proud of you for not being jealous of Jamie. I love wire manners and hope you have a new friend! Your dad is happy and that only means more loves and scratches.”

“Aww, a new puppie. I love puppies. I would wait until he's almost full size for a pacpac so that you don't end up buying a new one every month as he grows. If he doesn't like it at first, just take him on walks with it on but unloaded so he gets used to it, then slowly add the weight. You can still take him on the trail before his pacpac. Be sure to have fun with him!

BTW: what kind is he?”

Eddy The Dog

Then he thought he was a bit hungry. So he dicided to hunt for food. But he couldn't find anything, not even some water. He just then found out that he was LOST. So he found another dog who was a stray. The stray dog knew all about the place. They soon became GREAT pals. The stray dog told Eddy the way to his kennel, But Eddy didn't go by himself instead the stray dog went with Eddy too. When they got home Eddy introduced the stray dog to Eddy's family. And they named the stray dog Sam.

Dog's

I once had a dog, who I loved very much. One day I was out for a wolk with him. He got away from me and ran into the river. We were at camp so i ran to my camp sight to get my dad. He and my older Brother Mark went in a hurry to find him. They searched for hours to find my dog Muffin. Three days later we had to leave. My dad had to be back to work the next day. We left without Muffin and I miss him so much. I wish very much that I could get another dog but my parents say I need to wait until I get older. I still lay in bed and wonder what could have ever happened to Muffin. Did he get kidnapped? Did he dround? Did he get hit by a car somewhere? Who will ever know? I wish that he would just run home to my this very day.

Para poder configurar una impresora local de un Windows 95 como servidora de impresión, primero de todo, es necesario tener instalados los servicios correspondientes (en especial el servicio "Compartir impresoras y archivos para redes Microsoft"). Para ello:

Ir a "Inicio | Configuración | Panel de Control"
Hacer doble click en el icono "Red"
Hacer click en el botón "Compartir archivos e impresoras..."
Seleccionar la casilla "Permitir que otros usuarios impriman con mis impresoras" y hacer click en "Aceptar". Veremos que en la lista de controladores instalados aparece uno nuevo llamado "Compartir impresoras y archivos para redes Microsoft".
Cerrar el panel de configuración de la red, dandole a "Aceptar".

Seleccionar "Propiedades" de la impresora que se desea compartir
En la pestaña "Compartir", seleccionar "Compartido como:"
Poner el nombre que se le quiere dar a la impresora compartida en "Nombre del recurso compartido", añadir un comentario a la impresora si se desea y poner una contraseña a la impresora. Nos pedirá confirmacion de la contraseña. Esta contraseña debe ser conocida SÓLO por las personas que deseen imprimir sobre dicha impresora.
Aceptar, veremos como el icono de la impresora aparece con una mano debajo.

“Ask your vet when you can start putting weight on your puppy's back. I would tend to wait until the dog was at least a year old to make sure you don't put too much strain on developing muscles and bones.

“PepperDog is correct in that you should wait probably about a year to put any type of load on a pups back. Like human infants, a dog's skeletal plates have not fused together when the dog is young. You could cause damage to your dogs structure if you load him/her too soon. Certainly you can begin to train the pup to accept wearing a pack, just like you have to train a pup to accept a collar and leash, just wait long enough for a pack to fit and don't put any weight in it.

Just as an aside, and not knowing how much experience you have rearing a young pup, here are several outstanding books that you might find useful:

BTW, if your dog is part Dalmation, he will probably be an excellant trail dog since the breed was developed to run along side and under carriages for miles and miles.
