Washington Folks
I am too lazy to read all the threads and find out who's from WA..

I will be in Seattle 9/24-26 for work and would like to piggyback a bping trip onto this excursion (either the weekend before or Wed-Thurs-Fri, etc after).

Anybody wanna go bping?

Bonus points for being the first person to meet Biz and add me to your TT list.

RE: Washington Folks
Biz,

Lousy timing on your part! Quite a few of the hikers Baume66 listed above are going to be out on the annual PNW Fall Hike in the Olympics. I will be in Philadelphia that week. You're only gonna be here for 3 days?

Well, it looks like there might be some opportunities for interesting meetings along the trail, perhaps..... although 'looking lost and confused' can be a pretty common trait.

RE: Washington Folks
We call pumas cougars here. If they're anything like the WSU football Cougars, just take a goalpost with you and they'll stay far, far away.

RE: Washington Folks
Biz, actually I've passed a fairly notable number of lone hikers of the female persuasion, and they seem to be more prevalent now than they were, oh, ten or fifteen years ago. As for confusion, well hell, that's just normal, isn't it?

I hear there are cougars up in the woods. I believe that's true although I've never seen one. I fimrly believe that they have seen me, though. Hopefully I'll notice one at some point, along some trail, eyeing me as I amble along.

Hmmmm... I hadn't really thought of "going without" as being a weight savings strategy. But then I've only got one option in that department, rather than two (no "Manzier" for me, thanks). Maybe you could just remove the underwire, and keep the rest! LOL!
