RE: The Missing Link!!!! Find it Here!
Ain't found a way to kill me yet
Eyes burn with stinging sweat
Seems every path leads me to nowhere
Wife and kids household pet
Army green was no safe bet
The bullets scream to me from somewhere

Yeah, they come to snuff the rooster
Yeah, here come the rooster
You know he ain't gonna die

Yeah, they come to snuff the rooster
Yeah, here come the rooster yeah
You know he ain't gonna die

Walkin' tall machine gun man
They spit on me in my home land
Gloria sent me pictures of my boy
Got my pills 'gainst mosquito death
My buddy's breathin' his dyin' breath
Oh god please won't you help me make it through

Here they come to snuff the rooster
Yeah, here come the rooster yeah
You know he ain't gonna die
No, you know he ain't gonna die

This is why we will never have enough gear!

Looks like I, well I mean Buddur, just found my first gear purchase of 2004.

I'm not impressed.
You can get a Henry Shires Cloudburst for about the same price and half a pound lighter with sewn in floor.

Oh, it was wonderful! I had a nasty sinus headache all day, and I got to opt out of all the family-related nonsense! I played computer games and slept all day long.

It was great!

Oh, and I got a six-piece DeWalt cordless power tool set. Yum.

fooled Santa into thinking you were good this year, huh.

I met the ol' Elf with my loaded gun and made him give me the toolset. I think it was supposed to be my neighbor's, but I forced Santa to give up the goods in exchange for my coal. Of course, my neighbor is old enough to remember when people actually burned coal for heat in this country, so it was a great boon to him. Nothing like watching the joy of an old person recounting their childhood memories.

Well at least for the first 15 minutes, anyway...

Mike:

I bought a Stratus XT a couple of years ago. Good tent. Its held up in rain, hail and high winds (with the guy lines staked out). It was my primary tent before I started using a tarp.

Ever BPer Mag Thinks So
I don't give a chit what y'all think about NF's Missing Link tent, I think it is the schiznit. The more I look at it the more I like the idea of having a tarp/awning area instead of a rainfly vestibule for a tent.

I would want to rig some no-see-um some months, but that would be a great three season option for NM.

I ordered one of these from REI and should get it Tuesday. I to think its a killer set up. You can tie it off from the back loop and give it a box effect for more headroom. Turn your poles in and hang stuff to dry off the loops. Throw your gear inside if its raining then set it up. I look foward to gettin this. You can also prop the rear end up where the mesh is for better ventalation.

only thing that bothers me a little is that you have to use your hiking poles. It's okay if you hike, camp, and don't go anywhere else.

If you set up base camp, then hike...I would prolly miss my hiking poles.

hmm, i could exchange them for branches while hiking I guess.

it's an awesome looking tent though, 3 lbs for a 2 person tent, shoot, can't get any better then that. I really like it alot.
