Good deal on a digital scaleView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 13 of 13 messages posted.
Good deal on a digital scale “Just got a digital scale the other day for weighing pack items. Weighs up to 5 lbs in increments down to 0.1 ounce. So you can also use it to weigh letters. It's a very good deal at $21.95 plus $7 shipping. Here's the link: scalesUSA” 4:16:06 PM 8/18/01 RE: Good deal on a digital scale “uMmmmm... yeah. Right.” 7:01:47 PM 8/19/01 RE: Good deal on a digital scale “Mine's working very well. Sure is nice not having to take your stuff to the post office to weigh (unless an item is over 5 lbs.) The price is hard to believe but I've got one right here, no gimmicks.” 8:58:28 PM 8/19/01 RE: Good deal on a digital scale “put pack on.. step on scale.. take pack off.. do math.. throw out the heavy stuff. i need a lighter tent. mine is great for 2-3 people.. but it weighs just under 12 lbs.. gonna be nice in the winter tho.” 10:41:00 AM 8/20/01 RE: Good deal on a digital scale “put pack on....step on scale....take pack off.....do math.....take out heavy stuff and put in your friend's pack......” 11:11:17 AM 8/20/01 RE: Good deal on a digital scale “An explanation of my earlier comment: "uMmmmm... yeah. Right." I can't imagine that I will ever get to the point that I will worry about 0.1 ounces issues with my pack. My strategy is pretty much like newcanuckkid and pepperDog.. I figure out what do I HAVE to have for the trip.. test out the weight.. if it feels too heavy.. I start re-thinking what I HAVE to have. 0.1 ounce? Not with me, unless I am weighing.. (well.. we wont go there.)” 11:44:56 AM 8/20/01 RE: Good deal on a digital scale “I can vouch for the per item weighing method. It will save you weight. I use a five pound mechanical postal scale. It is good down to half an ounce. That is a pretty good price for a digital scale.” 1:51:13 PM 8/20/01 “Steve your scale was refurbished, right? They have dropped the price to 19.95. I don't care about tenths of ounces, but, for example...I have a pad I would consider replacing. I know what the new pad weighs because it is in the catalog. I have no idea what the old one weighs. I'd want to know the delta to help me make the decision. And I have a very hard time getting to the Post Office during office hours. (And the Pinewood Derby is coming up soon, again...)” 9:51:48 AM 1/11/02 “THANKS A MILLION, STEVE!!! i ordered this scale, on friday. it was waiting for me, when i got home, today. dude, it is PERFECT!!! you ROCK, MAN!!!!” 8:32:21 PM 1/14/02 “what kinda was that” 8:35:55 PM 1/14/02 “digital.” 8:50:37 PM 1/14/02 “well no sh*t i didnt think you got a triple beem! hehe i used to have this GE scale that weighed tenth of a gram to 300 lbs.my dumb ass sold it” 8:53:33 PM 1/14/02 “5 pound max. it will measure 1/10th of an ounce. perfect for backpacking gear.” 8:56:14 PM 1/14/02
