“My wife and I were going through the latest Southern Living last night. It had an article about the AT headquarters in Harpers Ferry. The article talked about how hikers have trail names and it listed about half a dozen names. One of the names mentioned was none other than "SwissMiss". How cool is that.”

“ICQ only has 2 people named swissmiss, so its not all that common (there are also 2 Violins and 9 Radagasts), but Trail Place AT hikers registry has two Swiss Miss's and neither is "our" Swiss Miss.”

“Sorry to burst your bubbble but I believe that's an entirely different "Swiss Miss". I hiked with a "Swiss Miss" in '98 who was actually Swiss. She aslo went on to hike the PCT in '99 or '00. Anyway, I don't think they're same folks.

The "Appalachian Trailway News" is a print magazine sent to AT Conference members. It's a pretty good rag and has some very good reader/member stories. Periodically they print the names of "2,000 milers" as they are called. They don't appear to have the database available on their website.
