Yup, it's made of two pieces of sil-nylon, so needs to be sealed down the middle. Don't know if anyone's used an Oware without sealing, but am doing it just in case.

Well, I must say that in militiaboy's picture post, those "mountains," fore and aft, certainly qualify as "hardware." And so appropriate in a thread that includes talk of silicone-treated fabric.

I hate gear
I am a minimalist at heart -- so much of that stuff is hype and logo and ads designed to make you buy the stuff. I sew most of my own outerwear and accesories -- exactly how I want them, with none of the other stupid bells and whistles.
