YES at Wolf Trap “I went to see YES at the concert pavilion at Wolf Trap in Northern Virginia last night! WOW maaaaaaan! Those old guys played for nearly three hours! Jon Anderson Talkin' 'bout my generation......and a LOT of young fans too! I was tryin' to picture all those grey-heads, baldies, and outa-shape-middle-agers 25-30 years ago! The music was the same, and delivered with virtuosity, but the fans were showin' some wear and tear. I took three 15 year old boys(one's mine) and they knew what alblums the songs came from! Gates of Delirium, anyone?” 4:01:39 PM 8/25/01 RE: YES at Wolf Trap “I'm feeling "Fragile" at the thought of it. I saw them in Ypsilanti back around '72 in a football stadium with poor sound. Can't recall much more about that show for some strange reason...but the hitch back home up north the next day with a friend's cute kid sister was memorable -- got a ride on the freeway from a state police lt. who turned out to be a pal of my neighbor (an ex-trooper), so he overlooked our hippiness.” 4:14:51 PM 8/25/01 RE: YES at Wolf Trap “I saw them earlier this month in OH...what an awesome show. All radio tunes though, 'cept for the few new ones. However, I couldn't help wondering what's up with Chris Squire's spandex pants!” 4:25:01 PM 8/25/01 RE: YES at Wolf Trap “In and around the lake mountains come out of the sky and just stand there! I saw YES once before in '75 in the DC area and they did the "Relayer" music along with other stuff. I'm going to see Jethro Tull in Baltimore soon with the same boys!” 4:25:48 PM 8/25/01 RE: YES at Wolf Trap “Yeah, Chris Squire did quite a bit of leaping about in black tights. They played "Gates of Delirium"...not a radio tune.” 4:30:07 PM 8/25/01 RE: YES at Wolf Trap “I saw those boys in 84 and 89 and once since. Jon Anderson did a solo show, at the Comodore Ballroom, here once- It was small, up close and personal... awesome. Have you seen their 'House of Yes' DVD? It's really good. yesworld.com” 4:24:56 PM 8/27/01
