Northern California Labor Day plan
I just got approval from the boss that Wanderer Jr. & I can blast off for the last weekend of the summer. Let's get something going...Obi wants to do something, Tahoe already has a trail staked out on the TRT, (can we join you, maybe?)? Rosey, all we have to do is go where the crowds ain't...there are lot's of options. I can help plan if'n y'all want to get together somewhere. I've spent LOTS of time in the Northern Sierra's, Desolation, etc., could go back there, or.... we're very interested in a little driving time to get up to Trinity Alps area. Let's get going people! Post something!

Would love to do something, but I got a client right in the middle of the weekend...

I just got out of the Trinity's 4 days ago, more folks than I would have expected for that week, Caribou, Emerald and Sapphire were a little crowded...not bad, seen worse.

Have fun....be safe!

Sorry, had to cancel the TRT for now. Me wife got injured and won't be going. She sprained her ankle in the Tahoe Meadows this weekend. Stupid big rocks. HAHA. My next TRT trip is planned for September 22/23. Probably go from Mt Rose to Spooner Summit.

You may want to reconsider the Trinity's this coming weekend...seems Weaverville is on fire, it looks real bad. They have evacuated the whole town, over a 1000 people. Its burning right behind the Forest Service building on 299 and I just heard it burned the school..they have lost at least 6 homes and one commercial building as well. The smoke is pretty bad. They had to stop the planes and choppers at night, so its ground crews trying to save the town tonight. I'll keep you up to date...I hope you folks living near the area are OK (Trinity Trekker ? )
