Gosh I've come come to regret not hearing too much about the other conferences. Although Dunadan keeps showing his butt for target practice.



I mostly disdain personal information on the internet but I just couldn’t resist seeing where the conversation has gone over the past few weeks. And I couldn't leave you guys hangin' (although in Nigal's case it almost isn't worth mentioning)...

My daughter was supposed to have contacted dayhiker. I see she managed and I'm grateful for that.

Sorry about my cell phone guys. It seems to have decided to pass away at the same time my body almost went out from under me. I've probably lost all my messages and it may take a while before I get out to buy a new one.


My legs started to go numb in Early September so I decided to increase my exercise routine thinking it was just sciatica. After two weeks I decided to visit the chiropractor.

After his exam the chiropractor didn’t like what he was seeing so he got me to go down for two MRIs within an hour of visiting his office. An hour after the MRIs, he called to say that they had spotted a tumor on my spine and a lesion on my kidney. All I could think of was to thank God we are not living in violin’s England or Canada.

Within a week I went to see the neurosurgeons and they admitted me to the hospital that Friday morning.

We have one of the best spinal surgeons in the country and he came back early from his vacation to perform spinal surgery that Sunday morning at 8am.

The spinal tumor has been removed and it appears as if the tumor isn’t metastatic.


However, here I sit, doped up on Oxycontin and it hasn’t seemed to do a thing to cure my smart ass.


I will be incapacitated for the next three to six months and it is difficult to write.

Enjoy the rest of the season. I may appear periodically, but typing is difficult.

Everything is cool, for now.



I hope Bateaux enjoys Saturday's game... just not too much.

I seem to be becoming a regular visitor to the Univ. of Florida Hospital at Gainesville. I would enjoy visiting with you, perhaps on my next trip. However, I don't have e-mail service, but I might be able to work something out. Good luck with your continuing recovery.

Last but not least, HOW 'BOUT THEM JAYHAWKS??? I think this year's KU team is the perfect television team. The network can go to commercial every time the Jayhawk defense is on the field. That way they can get in a sure minute to minute and a half of ad time before they have to come back and replay the touchdown that KU's opponent just scored. KU might not be in Wisconsin, but their defense knows a LOT about Swiss cheese. The rest of the season looks like it could be very long for the boys in blue.
