Dropped popcorn fell in the next guys bucket. The Lobos are proving that they have the talent and ability to, but they are making critical errors. game highlights- Early in game, UNM punts and BYU player gets close and UNM player covers ball in endzone claiming BYU touched it. Refs say no. Fans are pissed, they saw it and the ref didn't. He was nowhere nearby. Over and over the BYU punter pins UNM deep in their territory. BYU RB almost stopped in his backfield around the BYU goal, slips outside and runs 89 yards, caught by a desparate tripping tackle at the UNM. UNM DEFENSE HOLDS! BYU settles for a field goal. BYU scores touchdown in first half. I think they put together a pretty good drive. Second half, the UNM defense manhandles BYU. UNM offense moves up and down the field with combination of running plays in the trenches, off tackle plays and quick out passes. One touchdown. A couple of drives stall because of missed passes and one bad pitchout. At about six minutes, UNM chooses to punt rather than go for inches on 4th down. They don't make it BYU takes over on about their 40 and drives deep into UNM territory. At 59 seconds UNM is out of time outs and BYU runs out the clock. The eight year olds were bouncing off the wall after that one.
