Oh that's OK. It is a bit more coffee/lichoricey(SP?). Have you ever tried Boddington's Pub Ale in the nitro can? First time I got it I saw how blond it was and thought, "Crap, it's more like American swill.", but it was a good strong brew with a toch of honey at the end.

The question on every college football fan's mind is: How will Kansas fare against Jacksonville State? I know this game has all of you sitting on the edge of your seats. Calm down. Kansas will be looking ahead to Missouri, but should take care of business.
(psst, Chili, the key to beating the Gaiters is the passing attack in the fourth quarter. They fold like a house of cards.)
Did you hear that UCLA has the worst offense in all of Div 1? That is almost impossible to believe, given that they have been known for great offenses in times past. Oklahoma should roll, if defense wins games.
Texas will romp and stomp to get the bad taste of putrid pork out of their mouths.

How are the Scarlet Knights doing? The beer bet is looking like it could go down to the wire.

Dear Non-National Champion Fans
Michigan - Quack, Quack, Quack - When we play ranked teams, we beat them (Notre Dame doesn't count because they were highly overrated as usual). BTW - Nice running game.

Kansas State - Next to Norte Dame, the perrenially over rated K-State falls for MAC powerhouse Marshall, who, coincidently, was beaten by my Rockets last week. This exemplifies how overated the Little 12 is.

Georgia - Mauk you Bulldog Fans! Great game though, tough loss, and props to LSU.

TheOhioStateBuckeyes - Still undefeated after beating the nations best offense with our back-up QB.

See you in January Oklahoma!

Noverated Dame - They now make Jesus look over rated. And just because you have an Irish American QB named Brady doesn't mean you'll win. I only hope Sagrin will rate my Toledo Rockets higher than you this week. You suck!

Good gravy Buddha! You beat BG! The only reason they are #1 in offense is because of the devision they come from. You beat (barely) the big fish from a little pond...at home. It was still a weak showing by the Bucks. If they squeek by when they play the little boyz what the hell they gonna do when they get into the meat of the Big 10 schedual?

The Ducks were ready for a running game but we still should have beat them. No excuses. No getting around it. Michigan got beat. You won't hear any crying from me. I just put the Maze and Blue back on and look to bext week.

Michigan 2003
Michigan Rank - 4
Beat - Central Michigan 45-7
*Central Michigan went on to beat football powerhouses New Hampshire and Eastern Kentucky, only to finally succomb to Ball State.

Michigan Rank - 5

Beat - Houston 50-3
*Houston has gone on to defeat Rice, Louisianna Lafayette (French) & Miss. State (all huge football powerhouses.

Michigan Rank - 5

Beat - Notre Dame 38-0
*Notre Dame barely beat Washington State, and was beaten my mediocre Michigan State.

Michigan Rank - 3

Lost to Oregon - 31-27
*Oregon beat Miss State, UNLV(who are having a great season, Arizona(powerhouse).

Michigan Rank - ?

Summary - you played one good team and got beat.

Ohio State

Rank - 2
Beat then #19 Washington 28-9
*Washington has gone on to beat medicorce Idaho and Indiana, and now ranked #19

Rank - 2
Beat San Diego State 16-13
*Has gone on to beat the following weak teams:E. Washington, UTEP, Samford

Rank - 3

Beat formidale NC. State 44-38
*NC State has beaten W. Carolina and Texas Tech, and lost to a solid football team in Wake Forest.

Rank - 5 (below Michigan)

Beat Bowling Green 24-17
*BG had beaten E Kentucky, Liberty and Purdue, and was #1 offense in football. (They didn't play anybody from division they came from, and held the #1 offense after beating a very good Purdue team)

Rank - ?

Conlusion -
1. Michigan has played only 1 decent opponent, and look at the result. The bucks beat all opponants, 2 being certifiably viable (Washington, NC State) and one being viable (BG).
2. Ohio State is undefeated.
3. Ohio State is defending National Champs.

Please, no more talk from Nigal until OSU drops a game, or you beat us.

Thanks you,

The Winners.

BB's Conference Rankings (Thru week 6)
1. Big Ten - Despite B-10 powershouse Michigan falling to Oregon, we still have 3 teams in the top Ten, 4 teams in the top 25, and two more teams about to join the top 25 ranks. In addition, we are playing a solid scedule in preconference games (including many under-rated MAC Schools)

2. SEC - 2 teams ranked in Top Ten, and 5 in top 25. Huge interconfrence battles hurt this conference, just like the big ten, but when it all shakes out, they'll still be number #2 overall.

3. Big East - 2 in Top Ten, 3 in Top 25, with a few more on the way.

4. Pac 10 - 1 in top ten, 5 in top 25. Big win over Big Ten team (nice job Michigan!) is lending the confrenece credibility.

5. MAC - 1 team in top 25, but if the dolts that vote in ranking knew what they were doing, Bowling Green, Toledo, Marshall and Miami (OH) have just as much right to be ranked in top 25 as Florida or Missouri.

6. Big 12 - 1 in top ten, 5 in top 25. Nothing but falling stars here, and perrenial overrated teams (with the exception of Oklahoma). Nebraska will be the next to get whooped. OK will have a tough time chocking, since they really don't play anybody good until they meet the Bucks for the Championship.

7. 1 in top ten. So much potential, so little results.

“That's a good attitude you've got there. Why can't you root for the team in your state?"

Ohio State fans are the worst fans I’ve ever seen. The fact that they have to burn shlt and riot win or lose is a testament to that. The last game I went to at the Horse(shlt)shoe the OSU fans were yelling at us to go back to Michigan, throwing beer cans and flipping us off. No respect. I have been to a lot of Michigan games and met some great fans. Penn State has the best fans, bar none.

OSU player don’t even seem to respect the tradition of the two school’s rivalry either. It is a longstanding tradition that when OSU does happen to beat Michigan the players are given a charm of a pair of football pants with the year on it. Recently one of last year’s charms went up on E Bay and hit $1,000. When school officials said if it was a current player there could be NCAA sanctions, it disappeared from E Bay. No respect.

I do, however, hold great respect for Tressler though. He is a straight shooting, no BS coach.

It ain't just a game...it's about tradition and respect too.

Ain't no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top,,,Ain't no telephone bills
Once I had a girl on Rocky Top,,Half bear, other half cat
Wild as a mink, but sweet as soda pop,,,I still dream about that

Rocky Top, you'll always be Home sweet home to me
Good ol' Rocky Top Rocky Top, Tennessee, Rocky Top, Tennessee

Once two strangers climbed ol' Rocky Top Looking for a moonshine still
Strangers ain't come down from Rocky Top,,,Reckon they never will
Corn won't grow at all on Rocky Top,,Dirt's too rocky by far
That's why all the folks on Rocky Top, Get their corn from a jar

well, ND took one on the chin with ol' bongofreek in attendance. It was a painful game.

ND has no offense, and while the D played pretty well, you can't keep them on the field for 3/4 of the game and think they'll find a way to win for you.

I think it is time to bring out the freshman QB and let him learn this year. It's going to be a long one for the Irish...

It's good to see K-State get exposed for the fakers they are...they couldn't even beat the one legitimate non-conference team they scheduled at home this year.

OSU sneaks through on another one. It's funny to hear all of the crowing coming from BB. You just barely beat a MAC team. Get back to us when you run the table on the Big Ten again, if you do, then we'll give the bucks props.

Oh, Nigal's comments about OSU fans being the worst in football are dead on. They need to act like they've been there before...instead Columbus turns into a war zone if they beat Michigan 1 year out of 6.

Dayhiker, that was a REAL evasive post you just made. I think you DID read this thread and can't take it. Buck up, my man. Do you think Kansas can get Bama on their schedule for next year? =)
Cocoa, glad to see that you can still find the guts to post on this thread. I like having more guys to talk to whose teams are rebuilding. There's light at the end of the tunnel.
Bongo, I couldn't agree more. I like Holliday, but it's time to look to the future. This can't go on, or Willingham will be in danger of losing the job. I hope they come through because I think he is a good coach.
Dunadan
5:14:24 PM
9/22/03

Yeah, Dun, he is a good coach, and in person, you can see how the system on offense will work if you have a competent QB running the show. But right now all people have to do to stop ND is put 10 guys in the box and blitz every passing down. Holiday (who I do think is a good guy) just can't make the reads or the passes he needs to. And Quinn can. And I think the team knows it.

Ty is starting to feel the flames from the ND faithful...we'll see if he can deal with sweating a little. The thing that really saves him in my eyes is that "his" guys--the freshmen and sophmores he's recruited all look really good.
