I don't know, Day. I haven't felt that in a loooooooong time. How does it feel?

How does it feel to have once been great and to now live in the past and whine about tradition? How does it feel to buy your football team? How does it feel to have the NCAA finally call you on dirty recruiting tactics? How does it feel to be forgotten? How does it feel to have the ugliest uniforms in college football?



Where’s the cry about Oklahoma running up the score on lowly Houston? 63-13 and no one is whining about the Okeys running up the score like they do most every week they play against weak opponents? Oh, that’s right, Spurrier isn’t coaching Oklahoma. And since the media isn’t yelling about it, the mindless morons in fanville don’t think it’s an issue…

Actually, you lost Gameday because ESPN doesn't want gameday to be in the SEC for the first 3 weeks of the season. I'm still surprised that South Bend didn't host last weekend and Knoxville (UF vs UT) this weekend.”

My impressions so far:

LSU doesn't look particularly impressive. They miss their quarterback.

Jawja doesn't look particularly impressive. They need more experience on their front.

USC looks like they'll get better as the season progresses. I think they'll be a very good team by the end of the year.

Rutgers just might make a bowl game this year. Next year fer shur.

Oklahoma looks powerful but, as always, they only have to get up for a couple of games a year.

Arkansas gave Texas more than they wanted. Arkansas will take out some teams this year. Please don't hurt my GATORS.

Florida is loaded with talent, but young. We'll find out this week as one of College Football's greatest "new" rivalries takes place. Tennessee has a smart coach, a large stadium, and passionate fans. Can their freshmen quarterbacks handle the pressure that is sure to come their way? This should be a good one... as always. Good luck, Chili. I always respect Tennessee.

Dunadan, you should have seen me, a couple of years back, in a little bar in Port Angeles Washington screaming at the TV. We actually hiked out of Olympic National Park just for the game. There I was, in the corner of the bar, yelling for the GATORS, while the regulars kept looking over their shoulders at that strange and loud idiot in the corner. We hiked back into Olympic in the dark. Strider was very nice to accommodate my passionate desire to watch one of the greatest games every season.
