It seems like the Cold War, only now the war has actually started. Everyone is jealous of everyone else. There are strong rumors about PLOI showing up in Knoxville and Fayetteville. LSU has some academic ?'s. How did Auburn afford their Cadillac? Georgia has some exposure in Memphis. Who knows about Florida or USC. Oh yeah, the two MS schools are at each others throats as well. Lots of Bama fans are rattling the cage about trying to join the ACC. They feel that with the basketball program improving it could work. I just can't imagine not getting to watch the UT-UA game with the leaves in full splendor or watching the Auburn game around Thanksgiving. During those times it seems that all is right with the world. When you have a hard fought game and know both teams gave it their best it's easy to be content with the results regardless of who won. I have actually felt pretty good after getting beat in good AU games. For some reason the UT game seems to have a little extra nastiness to it. I will add that my feelings toward UT have mellowed thanks to conversations with chili.
