Everybody else....workout time!!!!” 7:48:50 PM 9/23/05 “went in for my annual physical... they just get more and more unpleasant now that i have crossed 40. bp was 112/70 which made me really happy. i knew it was ok because i monitor it at home but it always seems higher when i go for my physical.” 9:55:23 AM 3/27/07 “last time my BP was taken, she had to do it again. ended up at 90/60.” 9:58:02 AM 3/27/07 “they have to use the small women's cuff on you mr pencil arms.” 9:59:25 AM 3/27/07 “No no...I got to use the big boy cuff. Funny you mention it though...a few years ago, I remember trying the bp machine at a local Walgreens. The cuff started filling up, then quit because it never hit my arm. He He, I am skinny!” 10:01:22 AM 3/27/07 “100/60 or 110/70 and I am past the 45 mark. BP tens to rise slightly in dr's office because of "stress". RHR was 54 my dr. was impressed.” 11:15:08 AM 3/27/07 “I need to check mine. I've been on bp med for a year. It was 150/another big number a year ago. The last time I checked it was more like 95/58. It's time for a new prescription.” 11:21:01 AM 3/27/07 “117/70” 11:25:59 AM 3/27/07 “back when i was doing high miles running my rhr was like 45. i had to go to the hospital and the nurse was trying to take my bp. i was in a bed and she was using the automatic cuff. she swore the cuff had a leak so swapped it out, then did it again. then she said, "do you run a lot or are very active?" they aren't used to a heart rate that slow, esp when laying in a bed. i am a long ways away from that point now but it was fun while it lasted.” 11:47:36 AM 3/27/07 “Doc says the BP is pretty good. Cholesterol is another story --- grr” 11:54:47 AM 3/27/07 “bah! just take a pill every day and you will be good with that. all i have to do is SMELL a statin drug and my LDL drops like a rock.” 11:59:18 AM 3/27/07 “Cheese toast is the bane of my existence.” 12:11:48 PM 3/27/07 “Normally (in the past) my blood pressure was very low. Sometimes too low. However, when I embedded a piece of metal in my eye, they took my blood pressure & it was quite high. They explained the trauma could bring it up along with the pain meds I was taking. Have to test it again. In any case, I've given up salt (my favorite spice)” 5:00:43 PM 3/27/07 ““Doc says the BP is pretty good. Cholesterol is another story --- grr” Tilt 11:54:47 AM 3/27/07 ignore this user tilt...me too, me too...” 5:02:50 PM 3/27/07 “I'm perfect. But hasn't really helped me in other areas...” 5:27:39 PM 3/27/07 “And I'm Not Going To Ask ---- Spirit! Put down that cheese toast!” 5:35:46 PM 3/27/07 “lol! Tilt, is a family curse LOL I could avoid everything like a pluege and I still have high cholesterol. Everyone in my family is on meds to control it, including my little bro. I am the only one who isnt. It did go down a couple points though, in the last year lol” 5:40:33 PM 3/27/07 “My BLOOD runs around 112/70. My much younger WIFE does a good job accelerating my BLOOD PRESSURE much higher. SEX not an argument................” 5:55:36 PM 3/27/07 “I guess we need to eat more oatmeal (aka 'sludge') for breakfast!” 6:02:36 PM 3/27/07 “90/60 on a high day. unmeasurable in the morning sometimes.” 11:07:08 PM 3/27/07 “Mine is decent these days, but that is due to the cocktail of meds I take. In fall of 2005 my blood pressure was somewhere in the 170/110 range. Not good for when you are 32! At 34 now, it is where they want it, and I have actually had one of my meds cut in half :-) It will never be super low like some of you, but hey, it isn't in attic anymore ;-) Guess the nice thing is I have great cholesterol levels. Yay for somethin'.....” 11:45:37 PM 3/29/07 “it's all that salt from those ramen noodles you keep pushing... you aren't foolin' us sarbar! ;) hey, i need more tai coffee! also that tai tea was a huge hit in the grand canyon. crash bang kept swiping it from me.” 12:00:00 AM 3/30/07 “My BP is 120/70. RHR is 52-60. Cholestrol is well under the wire. I need to get rid of 20 lbs though. Just some pain in the 51 year old joints. Man, this is the sort of stuff old people sit around and discuss.” 5:08:03 AM 3/30/07 “True Steppenwolf...true...I went to see my Dad yesterday and we had a 15 minute discussion about his med's. haha Good to hear from you Steppenwolf ! My BP is doing ok. I've only forgot to take the pill 3 times over the last 2 years. One of the times was on a TT hiking trip!” 6:23:56 AM 3/30/07 “Lol..ain't that the truth. "So Martha, what pills does the Doc have you on these days?" I was at my In-Law's this winter and two of the family are retired pharmacists....yeah, that was exciting conversation ;-) No salty ramen noodles fer me these days. If I eat them, it is with no "flavor" packet. Oh the joys of low sodium living! So you liked the instant Thai coffee? Good stuff, Jimmy San! In my hiking group everyone loves it...” 8:06:01 AM 3/30/07 “i am gettin ready to place another order but am holding off a bit until i get a large enough list of things i want... hey you should post some of your favs from your web site. your recommendation is worth 100x my browsing/guessing. it's all good with me.” 8:12:08 AM 3/30/07 “Man, this is the sort of stuff old people sit around and discuss.” steppenwolf 5:08:03 AM 3/30/07 At least we aren't discussing our prostates or our regularity!” 8:21:58 AM 3/30/07 “bend over and cough...” 11:43:37 AM 3/30/07 “In the days before rubber gloves, no one wanted to shake hands with the proctologists. Imagine that....” 7:59:26 PM 3/30/07 “My wife and I recently visited Peru and took a cruise from there to Puerto Rico. The ship was full of really old folks. I felt like a youngster among them even at 51. Lots of viagera jokes from the comedians on board. It was so funny, I would race up and down the stairs as it was quicker than waiting for elevators with the blue hair, false teeth crowd. Met some intersting folks though. I had dinner every evening with an elderly gentleman from Newport Beach who played cards regulary with John Wayne back in the day. Lots of WW2 vets too. That being said, the pool deck was difficult to even walk through. The horror, the horror.” 5:14:35 AM 3/31/07 “LOL” 6:18:31 AM 3/31/07
