Description

The flame azaleas at Andrews Bald should be at their peak in late June. I went last year and the display was breath-taking! We can meet at the Clingman's Dome parking lot. Time can be determined later.

The plan is: Saturday, June 24 - do a day hike to the bald, have a gourmet picnic, enjoy the views and the azaleas.

The hike is 1.7 miles one-way. Andrews Bald is at approximately 5800'.

Kids are welcome to come along on this trip.
