DescriptionThanksgiving Weekend Gobbler to the Adirondack High Peaks! Anything looking, smelling, or sounding like a Wild Turkey will not be safe!!! Trip Itinerary will focus on climbing Redfield and/or Hough Mountains - because these are the last 2 peaks I need to complete the 46ers! Come watch Bobo cook his Turkey before your very eyes!!! ************************************************************************ Tentative Trip Itinerary: Thurday AM: "point position" boneheads to establish basecamp at South Meadows. Additional boneheads to arrive throughout day/evening. Friday: Destination Mt. Redfield (ADK #15 - 4606 ft) - Dayhike ADK Loj to Marcy Dam, optional routes incorporating Avalanche Pass to Lake Colden/Flowed Lands/Opalescent/Uphill Brook and/or Lake Arnold to Four Corners. - Mileage, Too Friggin Much! (approx. 14-16 miles). FRIDAY EVENING: Wild Turkey Gobbler Dinner!!! Saturday: Destination Hough Peak [go figure!] (ADK #23 - 4400 ft) - Drive to Round Pond trail, dayhike to Dix Range, Hough Peak and POP THE CORK!!!! - Mileage, approx. 14-16 miles.
