trips - Tahquamenon Falls State Park Snowshoe Trip!Trip Info
DescriptionHi all, For any that are interested, a few of us plan to head up to the park for this weekend. This will be a low mileage, (2) night, back-country- base-camping, trail / off-trail / Lake travel trip. Friday,March-16 /12:00pm: We will meet at the Lower Falls parking area. We will then take the Clark Lake access rd./trail to Clark Lake, then travel across Clark Lake to the Portage trail, then we'll travel over to Betsy Lake, base-camping this general area. (2.5 miles) Saturday: We'll day-hike to the north end of Betsy Lake, then possibly bush-whack over to Sheephead Lake and then eventually back to our base-camp for Sat.night. Sunday: We'll probably back-track out, the same way we came in? (2.5 miles)
