DescriptionFridge and I are meeting Wednesday afternoon/evening. After studying all the information available, including the 1931 route and the 1974 route, we've come to the conclusion there is really only one feasible way to get to TriCorner from Three Forks, and it's not the 1931 nor the 1974 routes. Our plan is to hit the trail at first light Thursday (27Sep) morning, and see how far we can get each day. Basically we are going to trace the left fork until we are at about 5500' right below Tricorner Knob, where it forks into several tiny branches. Unfortunately, the bushwhack gets harder as we climb because the stream narrows and downed trees lie across the whole creek. We will come back to our cars on Sunday. The hardest part of the trip is picking the branch of the creek that leads to Tricorner. If we can pick the right one, which goes steeply up to the left, we will come out right at the shelter. My plan is to make an attempt. If there is anyone who can get off work and join us, let me know as soon as possible. So far it is just Fridge and myself. 1974 route  1931 route
