Friday night-Meet and camp at the Roan High Knob Shelter (for those who can make it)

Saturday we can meet up with those who couldn't come in Friday and head out from Carvers Gap around mid morningish going North on the A.T. towards US 19E (total 13.7 miles; 2,500 foot climb).

We can either camp at or around the Overmountain Shelter(5.3 miles from Carvers) (also known as "the Barn"), which I hear is supposed to be one of the most beautiful places to stay along this stretch of trail.

Apparently there are several springs on this stretch of trail and the place I have suggested camping is near a spring.

I spoke with someone at Mountain Harbor B&B/Hostel and we can leave a vehicle with them overnight or they also have a shuttle service.

We can work out the details on the shuttle later. Either way it doesn't sound like we'll be stranded.
