I plan to hike the entire Knobstone trail in 30 hours.
We will start at the Southern terminus of Deam Lake on Friday night April 25, camp and head north an hour or two before dawn most likely. We will need one or two people to run water etc for us and also to reserve a campsite in Delaney Park for the night of the 27th. I don't plan to go home till the morning of the 28th.

The 25th will mostly be car camping, as will the night of the 27th. So the 26th will be the only night we spend on the trail.

There are no fees or permits required except for the car camping site in Delaney, and we can all split that with the amount to be determined as the date gets closer.

THIS IS NOT AN EASY TRIP! We will be moving fast and light. The Knobstone is 45 miles of non stop ups and downs with most hills bringing about 300 - 400 feet of elevation change. The trail is very well marked and maintained, though it does intermingle with some horse and ranger trails in a few places. This trip is closed because it is not for beginners and is going to be very strenuous even for the physically fit. If you have any questions about details please e-mail me at meangreen3800@yahoo.com.
