Description

Meet at Big Creek Camp ground on Friday: Follow the Big Creek Trail to CS 36 or 37 (about 5 miles).

Saturday: Hike through Walnut Bottom to Mount Sterling Summit and then to CS 38 via the Swallow Fork Trail and The Mount Sterling Ridge Trail (about 5.5 miles).

Sunday: Hike out via the Baxter Creek Trail, returning to our vehicles at Big Creek (about 6 miles).

After the Mt. Sterling hike, I plan to bag some other peaks in the TN/N.C. area. You're welcome to come along for those too.
