trips - 42mi Black Forest Trail Ultra Hike / RunTrip Info
Description42.1 miles of fun in PA. Beautiful trail, inconsistent trail markers, steep climbs, lack of water, long for a one day attempt but doable. Can you dig it? We tried this past summer with some WONDERFUL support, but ultimately failed due to mid-90's heat and humidity and confusion on which way the trail went. Anyway, early November equals much less heat and humidity but less daylight. It also gives us more time to understand where the hell the trail goes where WWBF and me ultimately quit - around mile 25. I know PaRidgerunner was THE MAN logistically last time - hope he's still interested in helping out. We could use his expertise of the area as well as all the others who are local.
