trips - The Whites - NH - Pemi LoopTrip Info
DescriptionI'm thinking either mid-July or early August for this trip. Any preferences? I think that the following route, suggested by Madriver, is the one I'd like to do: "Pemi loop. It's the quintessential White Mountain hike. Thursday - Travel day Friday - Day One: start from Lincoln Woods and hike to the Osseo Trail and then to Mt Flume. Camp at Liberty Springs on Mt. Liberty. Day Two: hike the entire Franconia Ridge and camp the second night at Mt. Garfield campsite. Day Three: hike to the Guyot campsite going over South Twin and Mt. Guyot. Day Four: hike back to your car going over the Bonds. The Franconia Ridge and the Bonds (Bondcliff, Bond, and West Bond) are some of the most beautiful peaks in the Whites. Each campsite has water and platforms. Unfortunately they do charge a fee of $8.00 a night." The link below shows pictures of the peaks covered and the shelters/camp areas suggested. It looks absolutely amazing but definately not a trip I'd fancy doing alone. If interested, let me know.
