Description

Start point will be about 20 miles southeast of Lake Tahoe,about 10 miles south of Echo Lake, which drops about 40 miles off of the 185 mile length of the trail .Then ending at either Tuolumne Meadows-Yosemite or Agnew Meadows-just west of the town of Mammoth Lakes,Ca.(ending at Agnew Meadows puts back on about 30 miles=175 miles total).
The trail,in some places,is the same or parallels The Pacific Crest (PCT).There are a few places to resupply,shower,sleep in a bed and have a beer with burger as well as exit/enter for those wanting to join or exit.
I was planning on traveling southbound and using the bus systems from Reno to Lake Tahoe and using the bus systems from Mammouth Lakes back to Reno. I used the bus systems after finishing the John Muir Trail and The Tahoe Rim Trail the past couple of summers(pretty simple even for an dummy like me!)
I was not planning on a death march pace with planning on taking a day off/zero day at one or both or even all 3 possible resupply locations(all depends on fellow hikers-I'm flexable). I was planning on about 15 miles per day.But if someone wants to join this trip and needs to go quickly then I can do that too. I have 3 weeks off and can move the trip a few days either way. Again, there are numerous entry/exit points on this trail in which someone could get dropped/picked up or hitch to a good location. All are welcome!
