trips - High Sierra TrailTrip Info
DescriptionThis trip is full, since the shuttle can only hold 11 people. However, there may be cancelations, so anyone intrested e-mail me directly to be added to a wait list. The basic itinerary is: Day 1: Crescent Meadow to Nine Mile Creek (8.8 miles) Day 2: to Big Hamilton Lake (7.8 miles) Day 3: (ouch!): to Big Arroyo Junction (5.9 miles) Day 4: to Kern Hot Spring (14.3 miles) Day 5: to Wallace Creek Junction (12.1 miles) Day 6: to upper portion of Guitar Lake (8.5 miles) Day 7: to Whitney Portal with side trip up Mt. Whitney (15.6 miles) The mileage and campsites are approximates and can be adjusted [possibly more on Day 3]. Friday night party at the Dow Villa in Lone Pine. Shuttle back to our cars on Saturday.
