Description

Hi all – I’m a fourth year Med student with formal outdoors training and a fair amount of backpacking and camping experience. I have some free time April 24 through June 3rd, and I’d be thrilled to use some of this time to do a section hike on the Appalachian Trail (AT); it’d be especially cool if I found some people to go with. I’ve mapped out the trip - hiking 8 to 16 miles a day, almost the entire NJ-NY section can be done in 13 days, 12 nights, with one night at the Bear Mountain Inn to replenish energy and food stores. I envision the group doing more or less miles per day, depending on how things go. The trip I’ve mapped out is accessible via public transportation, so there’s no need to own a car. Interested?
