trips - Rockytop/Big Run LoopTrip Info
DescriptionDay 1 - Hike across to Lewis Mountain and then over Rockytop - Great Views. Then down, down, down into the Big Run Watershed, camp along Big run just past the confluence with Rocky Mtn. run. 10.4 miles. Day 2 - Climb back out of Big run to the trailhead. 4.8 miles. This loop should be awsome with the views and the fall color, camping along Big Run, great conditioning for the Black Mountain trip. We will meet at 9 am at the trailhead; the location of which is only available to those who possess the supersecret decoder ring. Ok not really we'll meet at the Brown's Gap parking area at mile 83 on Skyline drive.
