trips - Buttkicker Revisited - Dare You Join Us?Trip Info
DescriptionIf we arrange a car shuttle, we can easily bag two more peaks! Warning: Weather during this time of year is especially unpredictable. Prepare for the worst (meaning snow, ice, and very cold temps). Day One: Meet at Zealand Trail trailhead (off of Zealand Road which is off of Rt. 302) on Saturday, November 6th at 8am. Bag Zealand (4260') and Mt. Guyot (4580'), head down to Guyot campground and set up camp. Climb back up and bag West Bond (4540'), Bond (4698'), and Bondcliff (4263'). Head back to camp. Day one miles: 11.0 Day one elevation gain: Insane Day Two (assuming car shuttle plan in place): Wake up, pack up camp, take Bondcliff Trail to the Twinway Trail, turn west, bag South Twin (4902') and North Twin (4761'). Hike down to cars, and we go home in pain. Day two miles: 8.6 miles Day two elevation gain: Not as insane as day one, but still no walk in the park (figuratively speaking, because literally speaking, well, it is).
