trips - Swamp Fox Section, Palmetto TrailTrip Info
DescriptionWe will meet at the trailhead near Awendaw from 10-11am. The hike will be 42 miles through four distinct ecosystems including a swamp as the name suggests. This trail is flat and relatively easy. The trail offers some great photographic opportunities. Pack to go solo. At the trailhead we will decide which items to take as a group and which to leave as an individual. Everyone is responsible for their own equipment and food. Fishing gear is a suggestion. If we finish the trail early on Friday several of us plan to hike to Lake Moultrie, the next section, and fish until night. Hope to see you there.
