trips - 1st Annual Bring in Spring in the WhitesTrip Info
DescriptionPlan is to car camp at the Hancock Campground off of the Kancamagus Highway (Rt. 112), and then drive to various trailheads to bag a plethora of peaks during dayhikes. The beauty of this trip is that we don't all have to do the same hike. It's also very possible to just stay a few nights, or even come along for the day. Anyway, I kind of have an agenda and am working towards my goal of completing the 48 list by the end of June, so I have some specific peaks in mind. But again, the beauty is anyone can do a different mountain(s) if they choose. Below is my itinerary: Saturday: Arrive around 8am that morning and secure campsite(s). I may actually arrive that Friday night. Regardless, once everyone arrives and camp is set-up, bag Mt. Tecumseh as a warm-up. Sunday: Bag Cannon, North Kinsman, South Kinsman Monday: Bag Mt. Lafayette and Mt. Lincoln. Tuesday: Bag Mt. Garfield and Galehead Mt. Wednesday: Wake-up, ship out.
