trips - All About The Kids Vol.3Trip Info
DescriptionThis is the third annual ALL ABOUT THE KIDS trip, as the name implies its for families with kids (of all ages). We normally do this trip at N Manitou Island but will do this year at Nordhouse Dunes Nat'l Lakeshore. This will still gives us all wonderful sunsets, awesome stretches of beach and loads of swimming. This is a laid back trip, we generally base camp and do days hikes but everyone who joins us can definitely hike their own hike and enjoy the area as they see fit. Oh yeah, Nordhouse allows fires, so bring your marshmallows. As of now there is no limit on the number of attendees but a limit may be placed if the numbers get too high. Hope to see ya there. We will meet Friday at the Nurnberg RD trailhead. You can find the trailhead by taking: N31 to Sugar Grove, west. Turn N on Stilles, take it to Frontline and turn E. Turn N on Quarterline until you come to Nurnberg and turn W. We will have an approx 2-3 mile hike in. You do need a National Forest parking pass or you risk getting a $50 ticket.
