trips - Michigan NCT Hike ?Trip Info
DescriptionHi, I'm new here and I'm tentatively planning a 3 day NCT hike. Freesoil rd. to Upper Manistee Trailhead. 30.5 miles Here's my itinerary, but this could also be changed slightly, such as start time,mileage,and trip ending? ie: Sat.start/Mon.finish Fri.6/24 btwn.12:00-2:00pm meet at Upper Manistee trailhead on Coates Hwy,which is just west of Red bridge access site. Leave vehicle/vehicles here and then drive down to Freesoil rd. for the start of the trip. Fri./ Hike to, or near Little Manistee River/ 8.2 miles Sat.6/25-Hike to, or near Blacksmith Bayou Campground / 10.7 miles Sun.6/26-Hike to Upper Manistee trailhead and vehicles/ 11.6 miles For those that would like a shorter hike we could spot vehicle/vehicles at Udell trailhead(M-55) This would then be a 14.2 mile hike with one night camping on, or near Little Mainstee river, Friday night?
