trips - Grey Meadow, Golden Trout WildernessTrip Info
DescriptionThe plan is to hike from the Click's Creek Trailhead down to Grey Meadow which is near the Little Kern River in the beautiful Golden Trout Wilderness. There we will not be alone as the Backcountry Horsemen of California are doing their Wilderness Rider course that weekend. I may be involved a little bit with that training that evening. The Backcountry Horsemen are a great bunch of people and have great stories to tell about the wilderness... They also devote much of their time to trail maintenance and wilderness education so we have a lot to thank them for! Anyway, chances are we'll get a free meal that evening and the next morning - good food, too, as horse packers tend to live it up a little, lol Then we'll hike out the next day.
