trips - 5th Annual Linville Gorge TripTrip Info
DescriptionThis will be the 5th annual trip even though the 4th was cancelled due to flooding.This is a beautiful area and iffin you've never been you need to check this place out! We will do the same route as we did year before last:Meet at the Babel Tower Trailhead on Fiday night and have a great campfire and social evening.On Saturday we will shuttle cars and start by decending into the Gorge via the infamous Pinch In Trail.We will travel the Linville Gorge trail to our Saturday night campsite at the intersection of the Linville Gorge trail and the Conley Cove Trail.We will have left a few cars at the Conley Cove trailhead where we will come out on Sunday morning.After we come out those of us that have time will have brunch or lunch at Louises Famous Rockhouse Restaraunt. This trip will be low milage...only five or six miles total but beleive me when I say that this is a very tough trek and unless you are in peak physical condition you WILL be sore!But please don't let this scare you off.
