trips - Hocking Hysteria!Trip Info
DescriptionThis trip is a group get together with kar kamping and a long day hike. The Hocking Hills area has a lot to see. Caves, waterfalls, tunnels and lots of wonderful green moss, ferns and water. The Park is located near Logan Ohio in south-central Ohio. The basic plan is to meet up whenever you get there. If we all get there Friday there will be a nice big fire, libations, and good campfire talk. Saturday will be on your own. You can travel around the area and see some of the other sights such as Conkle’s Hollow and Ash Cave or you can do the long day hike from camp down passed Old Man’s Cave, passed Cedar Falls to Ash Cave which is about 12 miles round trip. Camping options will depend on the group size. If we get enough people going we may look into reserving a group camp site. They also have some primitive walk in sites but I’m not sure if they are open before April. We may also arrange for some pot luck cooking on one of the nights.
