Description

The Link Trail from Greenwood Furnace State Park to Thousand Steps near Mapleton, PA is supposed to be one of the nicest sections of trails in PA, with it's beautiful vistas, awesome rock formations and sections of old growth forests. I'm not sure whether we would be starting at Greenwood and hiking south to Thousand steps or viceversa. Camping would likely be in the area of Rocky Ridge Natural Area. This should be a wonderal hike to conclude the 2006 winter season. It's challenging, but doable.
