time to visit a skin doctor... seriously. there are lots of skin issues that have dandruff as one of the symptoms..and they can be fixed.

Have you tried the high priced stuff that looks and smells like tar? That stuff knocks out anything IMHO. A buzz cut works too.

I recommend shaving your head with a straight razor then applying a topical solution of rubbing alcohol and salt.

Let us know how that works, okay?

This one smells um, unique, but I've heard good things about it:

You might also want to google the "no poo" method of hair care. That's no shampoo. Hair washing is done with baking soda and apple cider vinegar instead. No more chemicals.

I get a dry scalp in winter.. Was told it was from the electric heat and also something to do with not being out in the sun as much as in summer... I don't know...

Anyway, I was told to buy this stuff.. I use it, it works.. I wanted to make sure it was the product so I switched to another shampoo.. Dry scalp was back in a few days...

Now if only the stuff would grow back the hair that is falling out...

It's psoriasis, I'd bet. It will prolly take a cortisone shot to clear it up, and shampoo with coal tar may help control it.

That's my experience. Haven't found a cure yet, but when it gets to be too much I get the shot. It all goes away and starts coming back a few weeks later.

Shampoo with salicylic acid in it helps a lot, along with a "dry scalp" conditioner.

Dandruff can be a yeast infection. Treating for dry scalp could be counter productive.
