Does anyone know if...
Are there any dangerous predators on the Lone Star Trail? I've never been to that part of Texas so I have no idea. Nothing's come up on any websites but I just want to make sure.

Are you asking about the 2 legged or 4 legged (or even more) varieties?

I almost laughed then realized that's actually more sad than funny. No I meant 4.

Natives of the area include:

gophers
skunks
mice
rabbits
armadillos
raccoons
white-tailed deer
opossum
bobcat
coyote
red and grey fox
Alligators
frogs
toads
snakes - poisonous snakes found in abundanc include:
copperhead
cottonmouth
coral snakes
rattlesnake

I'd guesstimate possums, skunks, mice, snakes, and possibly deer to be the critters you'd be most likely to see.

Thank you Gertie! Hopefully it will be cold enough that the snakes won't be feeling too feisty.
