Looking for Yorkie

“Hi I live in Pearisburg, va and my house is on the way to joining the trail. It would be near Angels rest. On Sunday 4/18/12 my Yorkie was outside about 7:00 AM and I have not seen him since. My husband remembers a hiker walking at the top of the road when he started yelling for Rico. I need to find out if any one has seen a male Yorkie that may have followed a hiker, He is my baby and I miss him so much. If anyone has any info or has seen a yorkie with anyone on the trail I would so much appreciate any info I can get to get Rico home. Please let me know if anyone can help.”

“I came across a blog from another Hiker that discribes coming thru pearisburg and a very small dog being about 5 min. from where I live in Pearisburg, He said the dog followed him until the got to some water and was too small to cross. I feel in my heart that may have been my Rico. I am going to try and walk on some parts of the trail where he said he was to see if he may still be there. If any Hikers see him anywhere please post for me and I will follow any lead I can get.

“This is breaking my heart. Poor little guy. I hope he has been found and is safe. silly question I know but I wonder if you've checked all of the animal control/shelters to see if he is there?”

“Yes I have tried all the animal shelters and have poster up every where. Myself, Daughter and son in law just got back for walking the portion of the trail in the Blog but no luck.I am not giving up. I will walk more parts tomorrow and everyday after until I have exhausted all options. I just feel like my family will not be complete again unless i get him back. Thanks for all the nice comments and please keep praying”
