Trails “does anybody know any trails where a person and their parents, can hike for a day, camp, and then hike out, back the way they came if necessary. eastern mass, is preferred (i live a half hour from the cape) but anything in the area will be a great help. i love camping, and im sick of my parents trying to get me to go to campsites, and camp next to our car, with air mattresses and stoves, and other niceties. i want to hike, and i want to camp. any help will be appreciated.” 3:10:43 PM 6/01/12 “Mostly people go outside Mass or to western Mass for that. You might search things like the DCR listings for something closer or go to: http://www.massvacation.com/outdoor/camping.php and see if there are any hike in sites. Tully Lake in Eastern Mass has trails and camp sites: http://www.northquabbinwoods.org/entries/82 I'm not sure which side of the Mass/NH border Windblown is - but there are shelters for rent on the Wapack trail which runs from Mass into New Hampshire: http://windblownxc.com/accomodations/shelters-camping.html Western MA you can get to the Appalachian trail and all kinds of places with hike in shelters and camping - southern Vermont on the AT/Long trail is just as close.” 7:30:48 PM 6/01/12 “thank you so much” 7:57:04 AM 6/02/12
