This circuit follows the Loyalsock Trail, various other hiking, bridle, and cross country ski trails. It is notable because despite its modest length (about 17 miles) it offers tremendous diversity, with several waterfalls, views, wetlands, forest types, cliffs, streams, good camping, and fairly good isolation. The only drawback is that there a several different trails to navigate to complete the loop.

The weather was mostly overcast due to Isaac, with some sunshine. But the skies brought out the deep green colors of the forest. Saw several others on the trail, but it was not overcrowded. Saw several younger people on the trail. Had a great time, everyone enjoyed the hike.

Enjoy.
