Seeking info. on Snaffle Bit Trail Yosem ite NP

“Seeking information on an old trail in the Wawona area of Yosemite NP. It is known by locals as the Snaffle Bit Trail. It begins in Wawona and dead ends at the South Fork of the Merced River approx. five miles upstream from Wawona. This trail is not maintained and is very hard to follow. There is an old carving of a snaffle bit on the side of a tree near the end of the trail. Any help would be appreciated!”
