Sleeping bags “So I'm an engineer designing a sleeping bag for my class and I wanted to know what gear everyone uses. If you can take a survey that would help too. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XVPNVT7” 1:46:42 PM 12/18/12 “Western Mountainering miti lite in summer campmor zero degree down For winter” 4:09:18 PM 12/18/12 “15 degree, 15 year old sierra designs 650 fp down bag, year round (supplemented by a silk liner when needed).” 1:02:24 PM 12/19/12 “All my bag are down and made by western mountaineering. I use the 10 degree bag mostly. Love my bags.” 1:21:18 PM 12/19/12 “I use down quilts” 1:47:24 PM 12/19/12 “Yep down. I use WM 35 & 30 degree bags most of the time, for colder I use a Big Agnes Pomer Hoit and just got a 0 degree top quilt from Warbonnet. My experience: You want a nice down bag? Buy American.” 3:36:06 PM 12/19/12 “I took the survey - problem was I have multiple sleeping bags, so I could only answer for one. Also, how much I would pay would depend on the warmth rating.” 4:25:36 PM 12/19/12 “I use a Big Agnes Pomer Hoit 0 degree if it's gonna be a cold trip. Otherwise I bring an REI Sub Kilo 20 degree with a fleece bag liner (because the Sub Kilo isn't anywhere near a 20 degree bag in all actuality) both down bags. I also have a MASSIVE Kelty synthetic 0 degree bag I'll bring if it's cold and I feel like taking on the extra weight. It's warmer and more comfortable than the Big Agnes” 8:37:51 AM 12/20/12
