Wanted: Your opinion!

My name is Bernie and I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I've come across an opportunity to help in the design of a product that seems like it would be helpful for hiking/backpacking.
I was hoping you guys could give me your opinion (don't worry you won't hurt our feelings) on this product.

“Sixty inches should be enough to hang yourself.. how much weight will it support?”

“It's not meant to overly weight bearing and I wouldn't suggest hanging yourself... there are other ways! If you need someone to talk to, I'm sure there are people out there that can help.”

“..I didn't suggest hanging myself, lol. But honestly, I can't imagine a task that device can do that can't be done with a length of shockcord and a cord lock. The combination being lighter, smaller and more versatile than your device.”

“It might have some appeal for winter use - for field repairs - if you can show that it can be used effectively with gloves on (especially insulation).

One thought on the marketing - I see trouble ahead. One dollar seems reasonable for the product - but either you will lose money with packing, shipping and postage, or people who have supported the product in return for some items are going to be ticked off when asked to pay for shipping/handling in addition to their money up front.”
