“It's 5:59 in California. I rolled out of bed at 5:30, got coffee, and turned on the computer. Now it's shower time. I'm so glad it's Friday. I get my truck back from the body shop today. It's been in there for 3 weeks, and I've learned that dirt roads are no fun in a car (especially a rental one that has to go back in one piece).”

“I guess he did go home. We got 2.5 inches of rain last night with some wicked thunderstorms. It was really great and we needed the rain badly. That should bring the fishing back for all next week so it looks like I'm going to hit the streams starting tomorrow. I just checked the weather and it's looking like 90 degrees today. Not my cup of tea for hiking, but I'll go anyway since we're going to the other Bald Mt. and it's only a short hike.”
