Yahoo.com movies site gave it good reviews, and it was good, but I don't think it was worth more than a matinee price which are pretty high these days. I'm waiting to see A History of Violence which is just being released with Viggio Mortensen. Jody Foster's Flightplan got mixed reviews.” 12:32:28 AM 9/26/05 “"In Her Shoes" is my next movie.” 5:30:25 AM 9/26/05 “Interested in hearing what you think of Viggo's movie... I'm a big fan of his performance in the LOTR trilogy... I've watched a few other movies--he seems to pick some really interesting roles!” 9:47:06 AM 9/26/05 “pinkbubelz: Do you know gingerbreadlatte?” 9:49:06 AM 9/26/05 “Who? (or what?) NO, I haven't heard of that...” 9:53:01 AM 9/26/05 “No worries. I'll keep that to myself. ;)” 11:39:31 AM 9/26/05 “OK... now that you've got me curious, what the heck are you talking about?” 1:21:54 PM 9/26/05 “I was once in a band called gingerbreadlatte.” 1:35:59 PM 9/26/05 “pink, some people go to movies that have a topic they like even if the movie is not great or an actor they like and I like Viggio and I don't even think I've seen him in his other movies. I will have to go to imdb.com and see what else he was in. I saw him on some talk show, either Jay or Dave and he was funny and cute.” 3:32:05 PM 9/26/05 “pink, ugh, his movie is only playing at the Loews Meridian on 7th Avenue in Seattle today!!! It got good reviews, but otherwise it looks interesting anyway. I don't know if I want to go into the city.” 3:35:49 PM 9/26/05 “I've been thinking of going to see The Transporter 2 just to see the trailer for Doom.” 3:36:58 PM 9/26/05 “I love Viggo. He has portrayed some really diverse characters! (Kind of like Brad Pitt in my mind--Brad has been in some really interesting movies--and not all "pretty boy movies".) I do like Viggo, I've only seen him in a few of his movies--A Walk on the Moon, G.I. Jane, Hidalgo, Lord Of the Rings.... He seems to pick some very eclectic roles-- all over the range of emotions...” 4:57:41 PM 9/26/05 “I saw the Corpse Bride last night. I thought it was good, but seemed really short and didnt compare to Nightmare before Christmas.” 5:30:38 PM 9/26/05 “I saw Lord of War yesterday - it was good, but not what I expected.” 6:28:53 PM 9/26/05 “There's a few films I want to see....Red Eye, Flight Plan, Lord of War and A History of Violence....but I've too much activities going on. To go down to a cinema to see a film will take up 4 1/2 to 5 hours.... Just a side note....strange isn't it, I read an article on films coming out at the same time with same themes; Star Wars..Close Encounters of the third kind Dante's Peak.....Volcano Deep Impact......Armageddon Red Eye..........Flight Plan and a few others.” 9:15:13 PM 9/26/05 “I'm glad the Corpse Bride was short which is probably more appealing to children who have a short attention span, but also adults who don't think the movie was as good as it was advertised as being.” 9:42:02 PM 9/26/05 Sweet!! “this is comming to a theater were i live this weekend!!! Join us for our 25th Anniversary Downtown Celebration of Caddyshack! Back on the Big Screen featuring our special guest, LIVE in person Cindy Morgan who played Lacey Underall Ted Knights niece ” 11:00:35 AM 10/06/05 “"Be the ball"” 11:04:48 AM 10/06/05 “DOODIE!” 11:08:49 AM 10/06/05 “we're gonna see it tomorrow night and then go camping this weekend...my wife's gonna be so tired of me by sunday, i'm sure i'll be talking like bill murray all weekend” 11:10:33 AM 10/06/05 “Double Farts!” 11:11:20 AM 10/06/05 “Cinderella story” 11:15:55 AM 10/06/05 “I finally saw the trailor for Doom last night. WOW! Can't wait! the new Harry Potter looks awesome as well.” 11:21:29 AM 10/06/05 “I want a hot dog...no I want a cheesburger” 11:23:43 AM 10/06/05 “harry potter is made by the devil ;)” 11:29:48 AM 10/06/05 “I already posted this, but that woman who wrote the Harry Potter books is very ungrateful. No one would publish her first book and one secretary at a publishing firm sent it around until she found someone that said yes which started this woman's career and all the woman did for the sec'y was give her a hug at a book signing 2 years later! KARMA!!!!” 3:32:36 PM 10/06/05 “Movies that THinkbubelz & I have rented recently: Mayor of the Sunset Strip - About a weird little guy named Rodney Bingenheimer... who is apparently the world's biggest celeb groupie-- and totally connected in the world of music and actors/actresses... Never heard of him here in the Midwest, but apparently he is well known on the West Coast. Lots of interesting interviews with all sorts of celebs! From Bowie to Nancy Sinatra, to Brooke Shields and Gwen Stefani... Lost in Translation--This was different. I didn't realize until about 2/3 of the way through the movie that the girl in the movie is the same one that was in "Girl with a Pearl Earring"... She probably has just about as much dialogue in this movie as in the other... Most of the movie had more to do with body language and inneuendos than actual dialogue. We had rented it twice before but never got to watch it. Luckily, this time we got it from the Library for FREE.... DeLovely - About Cole Porter. I was surprised at the number of showtunes and songs that I recognized... didn't realize how much of his music was around. Never knew much about the guy, but seems he led a "risque" life back in the day.... It started a little bit haphazardly (they kept flipping back and forth between "flashbacks" and "reality", but after it got going it made more sense... We started watching The Aviator, but are only about 1/2 way through the film-- The only comment I can make so far is that Leonardo Di Caprio must be making a lot of wrinkles for himself with this film-- I swear that he has his brow furrowed for about 75% of the shots!... We'll see how we like it once we get to the end....” 3:15:18 PM 11/09/05 “Lost in Translation was good and different anyone seen Shop Girl with Claire Dane or the one with Jennifer Anniston” 3:23:06 PM 11/09/05 “please report to the dvd rentals thread, please. now for current movies: aeon flux looks like it just might RAWK! also still wanna see a history of violence and jarhead” 4:52:35 PM 11/09/05 “jarhead looks like it will suck based on the previews” 6:14:19 PM 11/09/05 “i think you look like you will suck!!! :-P” 6:15:33 PM 11/09/05 “better to look like that than do like you do ;)” 6:39:17 PM 11/09/05 “I saw a preview of "Ice Harvest" with John Cusack and Billy Bob Thorton. It was funny, and maybe slow in some points but short at the same time. It was pretty good, but not great by any means. I'm seeing the movies becoming shorter and shorter. This one was about 1-1/2 hours, so was the Corpse Bride” 1:17:49 AM 11/17/05 “Actually, I've had it with these expensive to make junkie movies. We should all get together and make a reality hiking movie. We'll argue and drink too much and throw up and cook all kinds of food, get blisters, fall into rivers while doing log crossings and so much more. Everything that can happen will happen.” 2:34:00 AM 11/17/05 “yea. people will come to see it by the ones. gonna see "walk the line" this weekend. looks pretty good” 4:56:29 AM 11/17/05 “I watched Saw II. The overall movie was ok but the "twist" was a bit lame. The first one was better.” 5:00:07 AM 11/17/05 “We should get together and make a movie about nothing.” 5:37:43 AM 11/17/05 “anyone seen Derailed yet. I want to see I Walk the Line also..Reese Whiterspoon is hot” 7:55:38 AM 11/17/05 “I saw DOOM. It was really good. They wasted no time getting into the action and the effects were not cheezy. Overall It really had the feel of the game.” 9:41:49 AM 11/17/05 “I cant wait for Walk the Line! also want to see Pride and Prejudice” 10:24:13 AM 11/17/05 “Ewker, Funny, but not funny, my husband and I agree on a movie we both want to see and it's "Derailed". He reads the write up and it has Claude Van Dam in it, so I'm saying, "WTF"???? There seems to be two "Derailed" movies. The other one was with Jennifer Aniston. We ended up not seeing either one.” 1:45:56 PM 11/17/05 “This new version of Pride and Prejudice can't be better than the A&E; version. Who wants to bet it's been Hollywoodized into some modern film. http://www.videoflicks.com/TITLES/1066/1066018.HTM?SHOW=1&TYPE;=0&ASSN;=V00001' Watch this one last edited: 11/17/05 1:52:01 PM” 1:49:33 PM 11/17/05 “Saw Jarhead over the weekend...it was ok...a different view of the Iraq War.” 2:25:23 PM 11/17/05 “anybody seen "a history of violence?" any good?” 3:19:29 PM 11/17/05 “I saw A History of Violence, again another 1-1/2 hour movie, I believe. It seems to be a trend in Hollywood. It was good, not great. I expected more from it, more intrigue and there really wasn't any. The premise was good if they did more with it. I'd say to see it as a matinee. R rated matinees are good because they keep the kids out when they go to see movies early in the day most times.” 4:01:55 PM 11/17/05 “I saw DOOM. It was really good. They wasted no time getting into the action and the effects were not cheezy. Overall It really had the feel of the game. I like the way they even do some action in first person.” 6:34:00 PM 11/17/05 “saw walk the line last night...great, great, great movie...phonix sounds just like johnny cash...music was great” 2:24:52 PM 11/19/05 “I saw the lastest Harry Potter movie. I think it held my attention more than the last one. It had to at 2-1/2 hours long. It was very good, but I just don't want to sit for 2-1/2 hours w/o a break which I had to take even though I made a point of not drinking anything:)” 11:48:09 AM 11/21/05 “I loved it. I wanted to see it so bad I went to the ghetto theater cause the nice clean safe one was sold out.” 3:16:39 PM 11/21/05 “I went and saw Rent yestarday. What an awesome movie! I've never been to see the play but love the music. It was nice to see the whole story along with the music. My wife has seen the play and she said the movie was true to the play. Going to see Harry Potter tomorrow.” 4:57:06 PM 11/25/05 Jump to Page | 1 | 2
